irrational thought #24495

March 31, 2008

If I show no emotion, shed no tears, and pretend the shots don’t hurt, then the baby won’t feel bad for causing me pain and decide to stick around instead.

early morning converstations at the fertility clinic

March 28, 2008

Phlebotomist: Ok, date of birth?

Me: 3/28/77

P: Happy Birthday!

Me: Yeah, it’s been great so far, up at 5am, wanding while bleeding, and you missing the first stick. It’s been a great morning so far all told.

P: Yeah, but, you know, you’ll get a BABY out of it!!

Me: I’ve heard that before.

Girl all I want right now is you

March 28, 2008

The most exciting news that comes from this area of the world is that George Michael will be performing in Boston on July 27th. We are so freaking going. Because yes, we are that gay.

memed

March 24, 2008

I really hate memes. But I’m starting to really dig on Starhillgirl’s blog, and I think this is a kind of fun meme AND I haven’t been tagged (at least I don’t think so) in a really long time. So, here goes:

What’s On Your Nightstand?

Rules, rules, rules: post what you’ve got on the table (chair, nightstand, whatever) beside your bed. Leave nothing out. Nothing. Heh. Link back to the kind person who tagged you and then tag 3 other folks. Really tag them – none of this “whoever hasn’t done this meme yet” tagging.

On top/shelf of my bedside table:

Touch lamp, pills pills pills, magazines, alarm clock, “reading materials”, chapstick, wedding ring, phone, pencils, glasses, lotion, “supplies,” fertility stones.

Inside? A dark, dirty, and intriguing/disturbing place. That’s as far as I’ll take it.

For those brave souls who want to see what it actually looks like right now? Click here.

Happy Purim

March 22, 2008

Happy Purim to all my Jewfolk out there. And to my folks who love Jewfolk.

There’s got to be something symbolic about baking and eating cookies that look like uteri at the begining of an IVF cycle, , right?

Anyway, thanks A for getting all floury with me. xo.

perhaps a not so good idea

March 18, 2008

I’m thinking that having sheets with crabs on them is a not so good execution of a not so good idea by our friends at TH.

Yeah. A really bad idea.
